AAMS - Accredited Asset Management Specialist
Individuals who hold the AAMS® designation have completed a course of study encompassing investments, insurance, tax, retirement, and estate planning issues.
APMA – Accredited Portfolio Management Advisor
Individuals who hold the APMA® designation have completed a course of study encompassing client assessment and suitability, risk/return, investment objectives, bond and equity portfolios, modern portfolio theory and investor psychology. Students have hands-on practice in analyzing investment policy statements, building portfolios, and making asset allocation decisions including sell, hold, and buy decisions within a client’s portfolio.
AWMA – Accredited Wealth Management Advisor
Individuals who hold the AWMA® designation have completed a course of study encompassing wealth strategies, equity-based compensation plans, tax reduction alternatives, and asset protection alternatives.
FPQP – Financial Paraplanner Qualified Professional
Individuals who hold the FPQP™ designation have completed a course of study encompassing the financial planning process, the five disciplines of financial planning and general financial planning concepts, terminology and product categories. Additionally, individuals must pass an end-of-course examination that tests their ability to synthesize complex concepts and apply theoretical concepts to real-life situations.
CMFC – Chartered Mutual Fund Counselor
Individuals who hold the CMFC® designation have completed a course of study encompassing all aspects of mutual funds and their uses as investment vehicles.
CPA – Certified Public Accountant
Individuals who holds a CPA is licensed by the state and has been able to demonstrate their knowledge and competence of high standards of general accounting.
